As the museum’s current Executive Director, Chris Wyllie is in charge of coordinating and maintaining the daily operations of the museum. Chris is a former Navy SEAL, graduating SWCC Class 16 and Navy SEAL BUD/s Class 217. He served at SBU12 and ST2 and was medically discharged in September of 2000.
A Long Island native, Chris was born in Port Jefferson, NY. Before the museum, Chris owned and operated his own business providing high end audio visual systems. His technical knowledge helped form what is possible with many of the museum interactive exhibits.
Chris has a strong bond to the brotherhood and continues to participate in many events along with his fellow SEALs to support that community. He has spoken at events, jumped in the Hudson river to swim in the annual SEAL Swim and helps drive the vision of the museum forward.
Chris is married to Cary Wyllie, the most understanding woman on Long Island, and they have three beautiful children, Crystal, Jaxson, and Charlotte.
