Lone Survivor: A Special Screening
The Story of Operation Red Wings on the Big Screen
The LT Michael P. Murphy Navy SEAL Museum invites you to a special presentation of Lone Survivor, the acclaimed film based on the true story of Operation Red Wings – the June 2005 mission in which our namesake, LT Michael P. Murphy, made the ultimate sacrifice and was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor.
Set in the mountains of Afghanistan, the film follows a four-man Navy SEAL reconnaissance team whose mission is compromised deep behind enemy lines. It’s a powerful tribute to the courage, brotherhood, and sacrifice that define the SEAL ethos, and a meaningful way for our community to honor his legacy.
Dan Murphy, Gold Star father of LT Michael P. Murphy, and Executive Director, Navy SEAL (ret) Chris Wyllie will be speaking about Operation Red Wings and will take questions from the audience.
Join us Thursday, August 6 at 7PM at The Plaza Cinema & Media Arts Center. Seating is limited, so pre-purchase your tickets in advance at plazamac.org/lone-survivor.
