Tunnel to Towers ‘Steel Across America’ Tour

Join us as the Tunnel to Towers Foundation brings its Steel Across America Tour to the Museum in honor of the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

This nationwide tribute will travel more than 10,500 miles, making 35+ stops across 21 states and Washington, D.C., before returning to Ground Zero. At the center of the experience is a steel beam recovered from the South Tower of the World Trade Center, offering a rare opportunity to witness this historic artifact firsthand.

For our community, this event carries special meaning. We remember not only those lost on September 11, but also those we have lost since, including former Museum board trustee Jamie Atkinson, who dedicated his life to serving others and passed after battling a 9/11-related illness.

His legacy, along with the sacrifice of Michael P. Murphy and so many others remind us why we gather: to honor, to remember, and to ensure these stories live on.
