Join us on Friday, February 27, as the LT Michael P. Murphy Navy SEAL Museum proudly hosts a Penn State Ice Hockey Watch Party, presented in partnership with the Long Island Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association.
No Division I college ice hockey program has reached the NCAA’s prestigious Frozen Four as quickly as Penn State Hockey. We invite alumni, supporters, and friends to gather at the Museum for a special evening celebrating Penn State pride, community, and the enduring legacy of LT Michael Patrick Murphy, Penn State’s only Medal of Honor recipient.
The Murphy family is a proud Penn State family, and the Museum is honored to serve as a gathering place for Penn State alumni in the New York metropolitan area. Our hope is that this event marks the beginning of many future Penn State gatherings at Mike’s home.
A highlight of the evening will be the unveiling and display of Penn State Ice Hockey’s limited-edition “Murph the Protector” commemorative sweater, which will be permanently displayed at the Museum. This meaningful tribute honors LT Murphy’s legacy of service, sacrifice, and leadership.

The Museum does not receive government or military funding. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we respectfully encourage donations in support of our mission to preserve and share LT Michael Murphy’s story.
